Vikash Mittersain is a philanthropist and a leading light of the Indian industry. He has 38 years of stellar industry experience of growing diverse businesses to more than Hundreds of Crores in turnover. He is currently the Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Mali.

Due to his diverse business & consular experience, Vikash is a sought after Leader, Board Member, Speaker, Consultant & Mentor at various Public-Private Industry Forums, Commerce and Industry bodies, Trade Promotion Councils & Public Policy Forums.

Vikash was born in Mumbai and completed his Electronics Engineering from the Walchand College, Sangli in 1977. He joined the Madhav Nagar Cotton Mills in Sangli, at the tender young age of 22. Here, he managed a company which employed over 2000 people. This was his first exposure to business, and he subsequently founded many other successful ventures.

He is the founding Chairman and Managing Director of Nazara Technologies, since the year 1999. Nazara is a leading new age Sports Media Corporation that works with many Telecom MNCs in over 60 geographies across Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, South America and the Middle East. Nazara Technologies has offices in Mumbai, Dubai, Kenya and Hong Kong.

Nazara has designed games using premium media IPs such as Hrithik Roshan, Chennai Super Kings, The Australian Big Bash Cricket League, Motu Patlu, Chota Bheem, Mighty Raju, & Oggy and the Cockroaches.

Deloitte has awarded Nazara Technologies as the fastest growing company among top 50 companies of India, for the last three consecutive years.

Nazara was awarded the fastest growing company among top 500 companies of Asia Pacific.

Vikash is the Director of the Gourmet Company, which is a food and beverage e-commerce portal, that sources and sells premium gourmet food in India. The objective of setting up this business was to help farmers across India get the best price for their produce.

He is the Founder President of the India Business Group (IBG) – a non-profit Chamber of Commerce, focused on mentoring and supporting Indian businesses to morph into global corporations.

IBG has a network of over 80,000, with over 1,000 active members in Mumbai alone. IBG focuses on 12 major sectors, wherein IBG’s in house team works to connect entrepreneurs with opportunities worldwide.

IBG organizes industry events in India and abroad to help entrepreneurs do business with MNCs based in host countries and states. Some IBG members are expats, managing businesses in multiple countries. IBG has co-operating agreements with 20 International Chambers of Commerce. Some of them are-

As the Hon. Consul General for the Republic of Mali, he is responsible for increasing bilateral trade between India and Mali. This gives him an opportunity to regularly meet with Union/ State Cabinet Ministers and Government Officials to discuss business opportunities.

Global warming is the uncontrolled increase of greenhouse gases which result in an increase in atmospheric temperature. Global warming has caused massive changes in climatic conditions across the globe. It is affecting seasons, plant/ animal habitats and the habits of animals across the globe.

Greenhouse gases are produced mainly due to industrial activity done by human civilizations. Vikash has run a green energy, carbon footprint reduction corporation, to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption.

The primary objective here, was to help corporations and Governments generate carbon credits, which are important, if one wishes to conduct business globally. The business was focused on reducing energy consumption in CFLs and Water pumps and thus, reducing carbon footprints.

Vikash mentors and works closely with entrepreneurs focused on generating renewable sources of energy, waste recycling and carbon footprint reduction.
